Sunset Learning Institute Now Offering Authorized Hortonworks Training in Apache Hadoop

July 1, 2014 - PRLog -- Sunset Learning Institute (SLI) announced that it has joined the Hortonworks Training Delivery Partner Program to provide expert training on the Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP). Sunset Learning Institute joins a global network of Hortonworks-certified training providers to deliver Apache™ Hadoop® courses. Hortonworks is the leading contributor to and provider of Apache Hadoop, and HDP is the industry’s only 100-percent open source Hadoop distribution, explicitly architected, built, and tested for enterprise-grade deployments.

Sunset Learning Institute will now offer Hortonworks course content, and real-world lab experiences designed by the leaders and committers of Apache Hadoop. These courses will enable users, managers, developers, and architects to maximize their knowledge and understanding of Hadoop and HDP.

Through the use of video conferencing technology, Sunset Learning Institute has the unique capability of providing Hortonworks instructor-led training across multiple locations simultaneously via their HD-ILT network. HD-ILT (High Definition Instructor Led Training) combines the advantages of remote training, with the virtual reality of being in the classroom with a live instructor. Utilizing the same remote lab access combined with life-size high-definition two-way audio and video, students at a HD-ILT facility receive the same experience as those in the classroom. Instructors and students, no matter the location, are able to see and hear each other real-time providing a completely interactive training experience. Sunset Learning Institute currently has over 35 established HD-ILT locations across North America for which students can attend training at.
