BALTIMORE - July 1, 2014 - PRLog -- Temeko Richardson’s Run Life’s Course (RLC) sponsored Ray Lewis’ Summer Days Youth Fitness Clinic and brought in 40 Philadelphia youth from the Philadelphia Football Skills Academy to experience a day of challenging fitness with the most notable Baltimore Ravens, retired future of hall-famer Ray Lewis, CB Jimmy Smith, and LB Arthur Brown, Jr and Baltimore-native Tennessee Titans LB Brandon Copeland.

Serial tech entrepreneur and best-selling author of Get A Clue (http://www.amazon.com/Temeko-Richardson/e/B00DQNS6B8/ref=dp_byline_cont_book_1) Temeko Richardson empowered Baltimore’s youth to start their summer off at the highest fitness level at the Ray’s Summer Days Youth Fitness Clinic with retired Baltimore Ravens standout Ray Lewis and CB Jimmy Smith.  Special drills were set up by celebrity fitness trainer, Monte Sanders, to mimic the workouts of his clients, Ray Lewis and Ed Reed to increase speed, explosiveness, balance, muscle relaxation, strength, stamina, and focus.  Lewis and his co-host, Smith, were on hand to workout with the youth and encourage them to drive harder and never give up on being the best.  Ravens LB Arthur Brown, Baltimore native Tennessee Titan Brandon Copeland, and retired 10 yr Washington Redskins OL Tre Johnson came out to support the cause with some encouraging words for the youth.

As a second year sponsor of Ray Lewis Family Foundation (http://www.rlff.org/mainhome), Richardson awarded 15 high school graduates of Kids of Character and 10 most promising, determined Baltimore youth with tech prizes to stimulate potential excellence in academics and/or fitness like touch-screen laptops, tablets, Beats by Dre headphones, and iPods.  She also brought Sanders to Philadelphia to work out the 40 attendees from the Philadelphia Football Skills Academy during the winter season to expose them to advanced professional athlete workouts.

Richardson’s philanthropy for urban youth is based on the belief, “Strong work ethic, self-discipline, and persistence through any circumstance turns a good performer into an excellent achiever.  When children have the support and the same playing field as their more well-off counterparts, their mindset and character will increase the likelihood of them surpassing average goals.  Between the leadership and academics of the Kids of Character graduates and the effort and athleticism of the Fitness Clinic participants, the prize winners are proof that there is potential for our youth beyond social media and reality television.”

Lewis continues to be a philanthropic pillar in the Baltimore community as a strong advocate with his year-long initiatives focused on the development and advancement of underprivileged youth.  His belief that his connection to Baltimore was a “marriage made by God itself” has kept him in the forefront for more social giving, more recently, focused on strengthening the homes and economic positioning of single mothers.
