-- Valencia. During the years of crisis more and more Spaniards think about creating themselves future career options, which both inside or outside of Spain offer good opportunities on the labour market: the education of teachers for Spanish as a foreign language (E/LE). Even though the interest in teaching the Spanish language has increasingly grown in the past few years, those who would like to be an E/LE – teacher do not have too many opportunities to receive the necessary education. Usually the faculties of philology and translation, the colleges of education, aso. Offer as a part of their curriculum no E/LE teaching orientated programs. Nevertheless those who would like to become an E/LE – teacher or who would like to continue their education are able to participate in special E/LE classes, which is offered by the institutions, just as the institute Cervantes and its network consisting of recognized training centers.
The Spanish language school, Costa de Valencia (http://www.costadevalencia.com/en/1-learn-spanish-spain/1...
), offers as an accredited center by the Institute Cervantes (http://www.cervantes.es/default.htm
), especially those particular classes, which are aligned for the training and the continuing education of becoming an E/LE – teacher. Since the interest in participating those classes is increasingly grown, the school offers those classes up to seven times a year. The next class is takes place from the 30th of June to the 11th
of July in 2014.
The E/LE class (http://www.costadevalencia.com/en/13-valencia-spain-spani...
) is divided into two meetings: In the morning the practical workshops are occure, which are about the typical problems and topics of the E/LE teaching, for example it is about the certain aspects of grammar or phonetics, the Spanish culture and the use of both aid and also teaching material.
During the meetings in the afternoon the participants of the class have the opportunity to practice their new learned skills, by giving classes to students of the Spanish school themselves.
The class in the beginning of July this year is especially directed to those who study philology at the University of Valencia (http://www.uv.es/
, or respectively those who completed their philology studies recently. There are certain opportunities for financial support of those. Besides the school is planning for example to integrate them into their staff, after they completed the studies. In principal everybody has the opportunity to participate in the E/LE class, provided that the existing language skills correspond at least the level B2.
The registration deadline ends 10 days before the course starts.
