June 30, 2014 - PRLog -- ExecutiveGov is part of Executive Mosaic’s portfolio of media properties and serves its executive audience by covering stories focused on federal agencies, U.S. foreign policy and each branch of government.

The website published a number of stories this week including pieces about the leadership at the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.

Bob McDonald, former CEO at Procter & Gamble, has been nominated secretary of the VA where he succeeds Eric Shinseki.

“Prior to retirement, he navigated Procter & Gamble through the difficult post-financial-crisis years, where he expanded business in developing markets and made substantial progress improving the efficiency of the company’s internal operations,” said Jim McNerney, Boeing chairman and a P&G board member.

McDonald attended West Point and spent five years in the Army before entering the private sector.

Also, Jessica Wright will serve as full-time undersecretary of defense for personnel and readiness after her Senate confirmation.

Morin most recently served as comptroller of the Air Force and Wright was assistant defense secretary for reserve affairs.
