Bridgeport Village Barnes & Noble Announce Summer Family Activities

Bridgeport Village, Portland’s premiere shopping and dining destination, announced today that the Bridgeport Barnes & Noble book store has announced its summer family activity schedule.

PORTLAND, Ore. - June 30, 2014 - PRLog -- Bridgeport Village, Portland’s premiere shopping and dining destination, announced today that the Bridgeport Barnes & Noble book store has announced its summer family activity schedule.

The schedule includes a wide array of activities for children, teens and families.  All events are free and open to the public.

One of the most popular has been the “Wednesday Story time” series.  This takes place each Wednesday at 10:00am and features storybooks by favorite authors as well as new ones too.  The event also gives kids some hands on activities and crafts and includes some fresh baked cookies for a special snack.  The series begins Wednesday July 2nd and runs through August 27th.

THE NUMBERLYS STORYTIME: Saturday, July 12 at 11:00 am

Before there were letters there were numbers. Life was fine, boring and orderly. But five of the numbers

felt there should be more. Join us for a reading of this adorable story of team work and creativity. Plus activities too. Perfect for ages 3-7.

MEET CURIOUS GEORGE AT A SPECIAL STORYTIME: Saturday, July 19 at 11:00 am

Bring your camera and all your friends too! Join us to meet Curious George,

in person at a special story time event featuring favorite Curious George stories, activities, and the chance to shake hands with Curious George!

BATMAN DAY & DC COMICS SPECTACULAR: A GET POP-CULTURED EVENT: Wednesday, July 23 at 11:00 am

Kids and teens are invited to come in costume for

Batman Day to celebrate Batman’s 75th Anniversary as part of our DC Comics Spectacular this week. Join us for Batman crafts, activities, giveaways, and a

FROZEN FRIDAY STORYTIME PARTIES!: A GET POP-CULTURED EVENT: Friday, August 1 at 11:00 am and 7:00 pm

Choose from two Frozen Friday events - one at 11 am

and the other at 7 pm! Cool off with Olaf at a Frozen Friday sing-a-long event. Wear your favorite Frozen costume for a Frozen sing-a-long, stories, crafts,
