Music Notes Academy Celebrates Make Music Day 2014

EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. - June 30, 2014 - PRLog -- East Brunswick, NJ (June 21, 2014) - Music Notes Academy joined the Make Music Day celebration with an outside, courtyard music making event on Saturday, 21, 2014. Make Music Day is a one-day event where free, live musical performances, opportunities to make music and other musical events take place around the world on the longest day of the year. Musical festivities in East Brunswick were part of a global celebration of music making in 800 cities inspired by France's Fete de la Musique.

Music Notes Academy student Diya, who was recently awarded with a Chairperson Award at Music Notes Academy's 8th Annual Spring Recitals said, "When can we do this again? This is so much fun!"

Music has been shown to strengthen social connectivity, reduce stress, lower blood pressure, stimulate memory, and is integral to a well-rounded, enjoyable life. By participating in Make Music Day, Music Notes Academy encouraged music making with solo student performances, student-teacher duets, outdoor drum circles, inside concerts and music lessons.

National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) members and partners including Music Notes Academy from coast to coast opened their doors joining their communities' celebrations of Make Music Day.
