My Private Revolution A New One Woman Show

NEW YORK - June 30, 2014 - PRLog -- Shawn Love is excited to share her new one woman show titled, My Private Revolution. On the heels of a well received reading on June 26^th 2014 at the Poets Den in NYC, it was unanimously decided that the show is ready for full run. To that end, Ms. Love and her team have turned to Kickstarter to raise $50,000 to fund an Off-Off Broadway Production. Her play chronicles a girls journey into womanhood through the jungles of physical, mental, emotional, sexual abuses and ultimately, depression. Love's dynamic expression of survival unravels with music, dance, spoken word and dialogue as she shares her true story; in her own voice through three distinctly different characters. As a woman emerging from deep damage to embrace a fullfilling life, Shawn Love both engages and inspires audiences sharing her heart and soul to emphasize the power of personal choice. An artistically layered theatrical extrazaganza, My Private Revolution speaks to abuse, loneliness and depression. Love hopes that her triumphs won through the power of individual choice will inspire others to find healing, forgiveness and joy.  My Private Revolution is designed for family audiences with parental guidance due to mature content.

While, My Private Revolution is a one woman show there is another actress/singer, a dancer and an incredibly talented group of people surrounding Ms. Love. The MPR production team includes:  Choreographer, Lea McGowan, Pope Jackson, Production Manager, Shawn Alexander, Associate Producer, Kathy Kessler, Prop Designer, Pat Pritchett Lewis, Actress (Off-Stage and Singer), Mildred del Rio – Costumer, Miss. Jamie Stewart,Hair stylist, Cici, Make-up Artist, Laurel Marcus, Fashion Coordinator and Dancer, Laurrell Bradley.
