Vegan Soul Sunday touches down in Oakland

OAKLAND, Calif. - June 28, 2014 - PRLog -- DJ CJ Flash invites you to "Veganize" your summer Sunday in a Soulful way –lounging, dancing, eating, drinking, and socializing with friends at Vegan Soul Sunday.

Vegan Soul Sunday is a friendly "Day Party" with an emphasis on health and wellness, welcoming both vegans and non-vegans. You can eat wonderful food, relax in the outdoor beer & wine garden, drink juice, smoothies, and tea-based elixirs and tonics and enjoy great music, yoga, massage, and discover unique vegan products from local artisan vendors. You may also learn new recipes from cooking demos by leading vegan chefs.

The event nonprofit and community partners are Bay Area Black Nurses Association, Phat Beets Produce, Bay Area Green Tours, and Mandela Marketplace.

Admission includes free food samples from 12+ local vegan food vendors.  Chefs to encourage non-vegans to try something new and incorporate healthier plant based food into their diet. CJ Flash will be spinning "soulful" music and Nikki Thomas from KBLX will be conducting a community yoga class.
