Top Regional Social Media Talent To Be Recognised in APAC Awards
Max Collins, CEO of Social Media Business Boosters, networked across Asia Pacific, a supporting partner of the awards, said yesterday it would be a groundbreaking event that would raise the profile of small and medium-sized enterprises.
"It's a recognition of contribution to Social Media by brands, personalities and professionals"
He said the heads of over 15 social media consultancies attended a meeting yesterday in Australia to learn more about the awards.
Michael Roach, Chief Digital Officer for Franchising International Pty Ltd, backing partners of the event, said the major theme of this year’s competition is how organisations are using social data to grow revenue and measure social media return on investment.
"This inaugural competition is expected to bring in a large number of entries, attendees and sponsor involvement"
There are campaign awards across Arts, Entertainment and Media, Healthcare, Technology, Public Affairs, Finance, Crisis and Issues Management, Public Sector, Environment and Nonprofit.
Nominations will also be accepted for the Best Business Blog, Young Digital Professional Of The Year and Social Media Professional Of The Year.
The #APACawards will also award Brand Engagement in individual regions of Australia/New Zealand, Greater China, Japan/Korea, South Asia and Southeast Asia.
Nominations for the awards close on August 25.
A panel of judges including prominent businesses and digital professionals across media, finance, universities, Chambers of Commerce and business council will be selected shortly.
Judges will meet to discuss the highest scoring entries to agree the winner for each category. The winners will be announced on the evening of 30 September 2014 at an event streamed live in a YouTube event from Sanctuary Cove Inter Continental, Queensland.
