MOMENTUM ARTIST MANAGEMENT PRESENTS… Nicky Wilkinson: Nicky Wilkinson and Friends

EDINBURGH, Scotland - June 26, 2014 - PRLog -- Nicky Wilkinson, Finalist in both the New Act of the Year and So You Think You're Funny 2013, returns to the Edinburgh Fringe with her own show.  Described by Chortle.co.uk as having, ‘Effortless likeability and an excellent comic timing’, this bright and quick-witted Hullonian mixes charming, real-life anecdotes with just the right dose of self-deprecation and often brilliantly funny improvised riffs with the crowd.

Several of Nicky’s characterful alter-egos, including 'Sharon', a YouTube 'How-To' enthusiast obsessed with rubber bands and ‘Joshua’, a loveable teen from Putney, will feature alongside a different special guest performer daily, making each show a unique experience.

Of her show Nicky said, “It’s all about putting a smile of people’s faces and sending them off into the outside world with a spring in their step – I’ll be combining stand-up with filmed characters and each day there’ll be a top guest from the comedy circuit.  I’ll also be putting a brew on, so there’ll be tea & biscuits all round!”

ABOUT NICKY WILKINSON

Nicky made her first forays into stand-up comedy as a resident compère at the award-winning Funny Side Comedy clubs.  Within months of venturing out onto the comedy circuit as an act in her own right, she had reached the finals of both the New Act of the Year competition and So You Think You’re Funny.

Nicky's impressive stage presence, great comic timing and considerable comedy performance experience are ensuring she's moving quickly through the stand-up comedy ranks, definitely making her one to watch!   Her warm, likeable, down-to-earth style instantly puts audiences at ease; as ready and eager to laugh, as they would be sharing a great joke with a friend.

Alongside her stand-up work, Nicky is also an accomplished actress and trained at London’s prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.  She’s also one half of comedy double-act Wilkinson Ford, who return to the Edinburgh Fringe this year with their new show, ‘Kagoolio (https://www.edfringe.com/whats-on/comedy/wilkinson-ford-k...)’.
