RIMSHOT Urban Musical Creates Awareness for Human Trafficking During SCLC's 56th National Convention
RIMSHOT Urban Musical, a theatrical production that delivers artistic campaigns in communities identified as hubs for human trafficking, partners with the SCLC's "Justice For Girls" program to bring awareness during their 56th annual convention.
RIMSHOT Urban Musical is about a young woman's trepidations in a deceptive and predatory music network. Paralleling it's champion issue, human trafficking, the production highlights the sincere danger of a subversive industry.
Ambassadors on the project anticipate delivering an interactive educational experience sponsored by the SCLC's 'Justice For Girls; initiative for a diverse group of conference attendees. Christopher "Noxx" Williams (who delivers a stellar performance as "Slick" in the stage production) will address the public in a non-violence symposium alongside Troy Davis' mother. "There are few civil rights violations more heinous than human trafficking. This year's convention marks the 50th Anniversary of the signing of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Our goal is, and always has been, to bring awareness to this epidemic fueled by silence", says Angela Carswell, Playwright and Executive Producer.
The creative team is actively seeking advertisers, sponsors and community partners to support the movement powered by the Positive Arts Movement. For additional details, visit www.RimshotUrbanMusical.com, contact the creative team at 678-306-3616, and/or 'like' on Facebook at Rimshot Urban Musical.
