SHERIDAN, Wyo. - June 24, 2014 - PRLog -- When a cowboy of the Old West wasn’t busy on the trail, he was usually thinking about where he was going to get his next meal. Drawing from the Western tradition of a warm welcome paired with satisfying food and cold libations, The Powder Horn Golf Club announces a new name and executive chef for its restaurant.

The Powder Horn Grill— Formerly Remington’s Restaurant—offers a diverse menu ranging from casual burgers to elegant entrees and daily specials. “The name change reflects our commitment to regional, freshly-prepared food, and also references The Powder Horn’s trademark hospitality,” says Clubhouse Manager Jenny McKenzie. Menu highlights include the always-popular BLT Dip appetizer, prime Blue Mesa 100% natural Angus beef steaks, pan-seared chicken, crispy salmon, and upscale comfort food like homemade macaroni and cheese, barbecued pulled pork sandwiches, and shrimp and grits. The menu is complimented by an extensive wine, beer and spirits list.

Open seasonally to the public and located in the club’s 30,000-square-foot clubhouse, The Powder Horn Grill has three distinct dining spaces in addition to an outdoor patio. Just off the Cowboy Bar, the largest room has a casual, pub-style atmosphere with flat-screen televisions. Two adjacent dining rooms feature picture windows overlooking the views of the golf course and surrounding countryside, for those desiring a more private experience.

Recently-hired Executive Chef Kayla Zezas oversees food and beverage operations for The Powder Horn Grill, Cowboy Bar, Turn Grill, Poolside Café and the club’s private events. A graduate of the Sheridan College Wyoming Culinary Institute, Zezas brings five years of experience in the culinary industry, most recently as Sous Chef at Willie G’s Steakhouse and Seafood in Denver.
