Dr. Edwin Houng Joins Avance Care Team

RALEIGH, N.C. - June 23, 2014 - PRLog -- RALEIGH, NC – Dr. Pratik Desai, MD FACC, President of Avance Care, P.A. announced that Dr. Edwin Houng will join the team of medical professionals at Avance Care, located at 7510 Ramble Way, Suite 107, Northeast Raleigh NC 27616.

Dr. Edwin Houng, a Board Certified Family Physician, completed his Family Medicine Residency training at Duke/Southern Regional AHEC in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Originally from New York City, Dr. Houng grew up in Ecuador, South America, where he attended Medical School at University of Guayaquil. With his multi – ethnic background, Dr. Houng is a native Spanish and Chinese - Cantonese speaker.

Dr. Houng enjoys and is experienced in treating patients of all ages and a variety of medical conditions from chronic diseases to acute illnesses. He believes in the importance of preventative medicine and patient counseling. He has a special interest in musculoskeletal and sports related injuries, and dermatologic procedures.

Dr. Houng enjoys spending quality time with his family at home or at the diverse beautiful outdoor sceneries that North Carolina has to offer. He is an avid athlete and a soccer fanatic. If not at work or at home, you can find him either playing or coaching soccer, playing tennis, golf, softball, volleyball, or kayaking. He enjoys travelling and his most memorable trip was to Brazil for the Soccer World Cup in 2014.
