June 21, 2014 - PRLog -- You've lost your lover. It's painful but you're determined to get them back. That's all well and good but unless you have a proven plan to make that happen, you're going to spend all your future days and nights alone pining for them. Getting a lover back isn't nearly as hard as it may seem. You may have already heard of the no contact rule and how it relates to winning back an ex. The premise of it is straightforward and simple. You shut off all contact with your ex for a few weeks. Before you decide to employ it you need to know exactly when to use the no contact rule. Timing is absolutely everything when it comes to making this work.

Understanding when to use the no contact rule is all about making an impact and then disappearing. Unlike what many people believe, you should never announce to your ex that you're cutting off all contact with them. This completely defeats the purpose. Your distance and silence won't have nearly the same impact as it would have had you not boldly revealed your entire plan. That's not to say that you shouldn't say something to your ex before you disappear. You should. However, it's something very specific and has to be said in a very precise way.

Once you feel strong emotionally after the break up, call your ex up. Tell them that you are calling to apologize for the pain surrounding the break up. Do this even if you were the one who was dumped. You're not doing it specifically to make amends. It's much more about showing your emotional strength. Then you need to end the call first and wish them well. Say something like "take care of yourself" and say your goodbyes.

After this is done, it's time to use the no contact rule. You can't contact your ex again after that call for the next two to three weeks. By steering clear of them, you're going to give them time to dwell on what's happened and where you are. If your ex believes you love them still they'll be anticipating a series of emotional calls in which you bear your heart and soul. If that doesn't happen and they think back to the last conversation you two had where you wished them well, they'll realize you've moved on. That's what you want because your ex will finally have to face the idea of a life without you.

Remember timing is everything when you're considering when to use the no contact rule. Do it properly and it will result in your ex begging you to come back to them.
