FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - June 20, 2014 - PRLog -- As the summer moves along, country fest tickets are purchased and football jerseys are pulled out to support favorite teams for pre season. For those die hard fans, nothing is better than seeing their home team playing live at a stadium, or seeing their favorite country singer live – well, unless you create the perfect tailgate beforehand!

Tailgating – a classic American tradition that brings together fans from opposing teams through food and fun. While it sounds as simple as sitting on the back of a truck with a burger in one hand and a beer in the other, there’s a way to create the perfect pregame scenario so that you and your friends have the best experience possible.

Food: You simply cannot have the perfect tailgate without food. It’s what brings people together, and gives everyone the chance to try new things! Of course, you can’t go wrong with classic burgers and hotdogs, but if you want to spice things up a bit, why not try some easy finger foods? You’ll want to keep things simple, as you’ll be working with limited space. Homemade potato skins or flavored chicken wings are easy, delicious, and don’t require plates or silverware. Pigs in a blanket or kabobs of chicken, steak, and veggies are also a favorite among people and don’t require extensive prep or dishware.

Drinks: When you think of what to drink while tailgating, beer is probably your go to. While it’s a crowd favorite and simple, you’ll want more options for everyone, especially while the weather is warm. Sangria with fresh fruit – such as, oranges, apples, and pineapples is less filling than beer, and goes perfectly with the hot weather. For those really hot days, mojitos may be a refreshing option, and it’s a good idea to always have ice water on hand. Red solo cups are usually the way to go, but you can put a fun twist on it by using mason jars, which will keep your drinks colder longer!

Games: If things get quiet and you feel that your friends need to “wake-up” before the game, try setting up a scavenger hunt beforehand or tailgate bingo. If you’re feeling less crafty or short of time before arriving, simply pack a football to throw around or the classic corn hole if you have it!

DIY: Here are some quick DIY tips to make your tailgating experience run smoothly:

-Label coolers so that people know where to grab their choice of drink!

-Hang a paper towel roll using a bungee cord from the tent struts!

-Use an empty laundry detergent dispenser as a hand washing station!

-Float a large helium balloon from your car so your friends can find you!

-Bring a large plastic tub to haul back dirty dishes!

-Freeze water bottles to use in place of ice in coolers so you can drink the water when it melts.

-And last but not least, make friends, relax, and have fun!

Now that you have the perfect tailgate - don't forget that you will have to deal with security before going into the stadium.  Check out www.secureonstyle.com for the perfect bag to bring to the game.
