WASHINGTON - June 20, 2014 - PRLog -- Washington, June 20, 2014: Marillyn Hewson, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lockheed Martin, received the World Affairs Council – Washington, DC’s Corporate Social Responsibility Leadership Award in recognition of the company’s strong commitment to the international community.

“Lockheed Martin shares the World Affairs Council’s commitment to making a positive impact on communities around the world by advancing knowledge, understanding and learning,” said Hewson during the award ceremony. “I am proud to accept this award on behalf of the 113,000 men and women of Lockheed Martin.”

Lockheed Martin provides generous funding to STEM education outreach activities for students from elementary school through college.

Hewson delivered the keynote address at the Council’s World Affairs Honors Global Education Gala on March 13, 2014.
