From Inmate To Mayor To Author, Now Movie Of A Lifetime

June 20, 2014 - PRLog -- North Carolina Author and Mayor Franklin D. Deese said yes to the movie deal about is life; “From Inmate To Mayor”. Actor and movie producer Thomas Mikal Ford who played Martin Lawernce's BFF Tommy Strawn on the hit ’90s sitcom “Martin” will begin  shooting jail scenes on June 25, 2014 in Marshville, North Carolina.  Actor Jermel Howard from; Orange Is The New Black will play the role of teenage Mayor Franklin Deese who began as a star athlete and honor student to prison inmate in Marshville, North Carolina.

Now serving his fifth term Mayor Deese says, “I’m willing to go deeper with my life story on screen; depicting the hometown I was arrested in, now mayor and community leader of. I am proud to be the first African-American that a municipality has elected to serve in this capacity in one hundred years! The community was ready for a change and it showed at the polls; winning seventy-five percent of the votes from my incumbent in 2005”.

Mayor Franklin Deese has a winning outlook on life and has coined the phrase “Your A + Face" in his book which Sir Richard Branson founder of Virgin Group wrote the forward.
