SPIN Launches SPIN:Speakers and SPIN:Hire A Planner
Two Free New Benefits to Help SPIN Members Find Speaking and Employment Opportunities
SPIN:Speakers will feature a searchable database of planners seaking speaking gigs – from those who already have extensive professional speaker experience, to those who are less experienced as speakers, but deeply experienced in their topics. Fees are set by the planner, and there is no commission charged.
SPIN:Hire A Planner is a searchable database of highly experienced planners - from those who have their own companies and are seeking contract work, to those seeking temp work as on-site staff at other planners’ events, to full-time employment opportunities. There is no cost to SPIN members or potential employers.
“We were looking at unique benefits we could offer our members, that aren’t available to them anywhere else,” said SPIN Founder Shawna Suckow, CMP. “SPIN is home to the most veteran segment of our industry, and the collective wisdom and experience in our group is astounding. Anyone looking to tap into that can hire one of our members to speak at their event, or to help them orchestrate it.”

“I'm really looking forward to using SPIN:Hire A Planner - both as both a place to find planners, and to be found,” said SPIN member Tracey Smith, CMM, CMP. “I can use the service to find planners when I need extra help at my events, and to find short-term work when I want it. It’s a fantastic member benefit.”
When a SPIN member receives a booking from either site, SPIN requests an optional contribution of any amount, to fund the maintenance of the sites.
SPIN standard members can complete their profiles by visiting the SPIN web page, www.spinplanners.com. The public can begin searching for speakers or planners immediately, although the sites have just begun to populate their databases. Both services will be fully operational in July.
With nearly 2,500 members, SPIN: Senior Planners Industry Network is the world’s largest association strictly comprised of planners with 10 years of experience or more.
