Sacred Heart Golf Classic to Be Held June 30; Supports Expanding Athletics
The day begins with a barbecue lunch at noon, followed by an 18-hole shotgun scramble format commencing at 1:30 p.m. In addition to golf (with a cart), the day also features a registration gift, prizes, post-game cocktail party, and raffles. Various levels of sponsorship opportunities are available. The Golf Committee Chair is Robert Duquette, athletic director.
The Sacred Heart Athletic Program has been expanding over the last few years. The high school football program started with a freshman team this year, and the high school hockey team successfully completed their second season. Next year will feature a JV football team as well as a cheerleading program that was initiated based on student demand. In addition, new scoreboards will be installed over the summer for football, soccer, and lacrosse fields.
