Gam Girl Records will release Australian recording artist
DeeDee Lavell's new single
Don't Explain on June 24, 2014. Lavell puts her own vocal stylings on this
Billie Holiday classic produced by legendary master percussionist andformer music director for the
Emeril Live show,
Doc Gibbs.
Lavell and Gibbs wanted the best in the business to work on the recording of
Don't Explain so they recorded in Philadelphia at the
Lab Studios owned by former
Gamble & Huff engineer
Craig White and had the recordmastered by Peter Humphreys who has worked on classic recordings for all of the major labels for over 25 years.
The Australian born Lavell will make her Philadelphia debut with Doc Gibbs and his band on Sunday June 29, 2014 at World Cafe Live. Lavell will premier several of the songs off her soon to be released jazz album
Sounds Of Love as well as a performance of her new single
Don't Explain. Levall is currently working on putting together her North American tour.
