She also said that sunscreen should be applied 20-30 minutes before going outside, as this gives the lotion enough time to absorb into the skin to start providing protection. Other application tips include applying liberally all over the body, applying to all bare skin (including ears, and tops of hands and feet), and reapplying frequently.
