Scannr, an app specialized for scanning US and Canadian driver's licenses is available on the Apple

ZAGREB, Croatia - June 17, 2014 - PRLog -- Unlike other similar apps, Scannr pulls the data from the PDF417 type barcode, thus greatly increasing the accuracy of the scan. This technology, developed by a company called PhotoPay, was so far used only in banking applications, for automatic payment of barcode-equipped bill pay slips.

Data retrieved via barcode can be analyzed later with in form of charts, or used on the spot in something called Bouncer mode. In this mode, after each scan, the age is compared to the manually defined age limit. If the person is underage, their name and age are displayed on a red background. If the card holder is legal, the background is green.

Scannr works on any Apple mobile device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) compatible with iOS 7.

The app is available on the US and Canadian iTunes Store free of charge, but with a limited number of scans. More scans can be bought via in-app purchases. The simplest and most economical option is to buy the Unlimited Scans package for $24.99.
