Follow on Google News | Keep Score of the World Cup at Growlers PourhouseGrowlers Pourhouse is set to showcase the excitement of the road to win the World Cup.
For the next month, Growlers Pourhouse will be changing it’s regular schedule to showcase the World Cup games as the teams come down to the final matchup in mid July. As of the start of the World Cup, Thursday June 12, Growlers Pourhouse has hoisted flags over their corner at 35th and North Davidson Street – located in Charlotte’s eclectic NoDa neighborhood. The flags designate the location as a prime spot for taking in the World Cup games. “The World Cup is such and incredible and fun sporting event,” says Jeff Tonidandel, one of the owners of Growlers Pourhouse. “We just wanted to couple that energy with our spirit at Growlers, and create a memorable spot to watch the games.” The craft beer bar has been selected as one of the Top 100 Beer Bars in the US by Draft Magazine for four years in a row now. And while the award-winning bar usually only carries American craft beer, they are bringing in Brazilian favorite, Palma Louca for the occasion. Tonidandel, a Certified Cicerone, chooses the beer selection at Growlers Pourhouse, and he describes the beer as a Brazilian Pilsner medium bodied beer with a malty accent.
