LEEDS, U.K. - June 16, 2014 - PRLog -- LCF Law is making legal advice more accessible through its innovative use of social media.

The Leeds-based law firm who underwent a rebrand earlier this year, has continued with its quirky messaging and advertising campaigns, and has caused a stir in the UK’s legal sector through its modern and innovative approach to marketing and use of social media. LCF LAW’s twitter brand is @lawfairsquare, to coincide with its brand promise “Law Fair and Square.”

Social media continues to be a frequent topic discussed by a growing number of law firms. Some law firms encourage their clients to follow their twitter feed; some use it to broadcast key messages or simply talk about what they doing. LCF Law are taking things one step further - by launching the UK’s first ever legal twitter chat - #UKLegalHour- that provides free, live advice to those with legal questions, unlike existing legal Twitter chats which focus on the industry.

The #UKLegalHour will be live 1pm until 3pm on twitter on Wednesday 18th June and will focus on employment law. We chose employment law because our research showed lots of people have questions relating to employment issues that they would love to ask a lawyer.

What makes this unique is that we will have an employment team headed employment lawyer, Sarah Buxton, answering questions live in real time - which has never been done before. As legal advice can rarely be shortened to just 140 characters, the firm’s employment specialists will also be posting live answers via their blog – www.lcf.co.uk/blog - and linking to these via the firm’s twitter account @LawFairSquare using the hashtag #UKLegalHour.

Since the firm’s rebrand it has continued to innovate in legal marketing. The rebrand was launched with a unique website following and intriguing online teaser campaign.  Since then, LCF Law has grown its twitter following to over 2000 in less than six months, run a ‘Clean Graffiti’ street campaign in Leeds City Centre with the message “If you’re happy with your law firm, DON’T VISIT THIS WEBSITE! lawfairsquare.com,” hosted a number of free legal seminars and launched a free ‘legal library’ of over 3000 answers to common legal questions. The #UKLegalHour is the next step in the firm’s marketing toolkit.

Managing Partner Simon Stell said, “With a growing need for fast and simple legal advice, we wanted a platform that would allow us to answer people’s legal questions in a quick and easy format. As twitter chats are becoming increasingly popular, we realised this would be a great way to connect with customers.

In today’s competitive business environment, it’s more important than ever to find ways to add value to customers – and by providing free legal advice, we’re putting our firm centre stage; and as a result we expect to see greater engagement with our brand, stronger awareness, and ultimately, a strengthened position in the marketplace.”
