SEATTLE - June 15, 2014 - PRLog -- The year was 1988, 25 years ago in Seattle young entrepreneurs were dreaming big and making history. Microsoft launched Windows Office, Nirvana was performing on their first world tour, Nintendo introduced the very first Game Boy and Shawn Kemp was drafted as a Rookie to The Seattle Super Sonics. Also pursuing a dream was a young passionate bartender working at the bustling Jazz Club in Pioneer Square called the New Orleans.

Demitri Pallis was frustrated at the inconsistent flavor and quality of his bar's Bloody Marys. Like in many establishments, from bartender to bartender, day to day, a customer couldn't count on consistent and delicious Bloody Mary recipes.

So one day when he just couldn't take it anymore, Demitri set out on a journey in mixology that would change the course of his life. It took him over a year to develop his formula for the perfect Bloody Mary recipes, with the help of dozens of unsuspecting customers telling him, "too hot, not hot enough, needs this or that...."

At the end of it, Demitri was armed with a recipe that is now synonymous with the perfect Mary. Instead of battling the age-old effort to get everyone to follow a complex recipe, Demitri mixed his fourteen natural ingredients in advance so that any of The New Orleans' bartenders could simply add a shot glass of spices to tomato juice and they'd have it. This resulted in an always fresh, exact consistency Bloody Mary mix recipe nobody could touch.

Today Demitri is celebrating 25 years as one of the best-selling Bloody Mary mixes in  the country. The inspiring entrepreneur went from creating and packaging the concoctions in his kitchen 25 years ago to mass producing the brand to be sold in distribution channels such as Costco, Whole Foods, Ruth’s Chris, Westin Hotels, Holland America just to give you an idea how diverse his reach is. The Award Winning Brand whose label has Demitri’s grandfather pictured has also sponsored countless celebrity events including Super Bowl Star Richard Sherman’s private jet party as well as countless non-profit events.

We asked Demitri  what he thought the secret of his success was and if he had any tips for other bartenders with their own creative ideas, he answered, his secret recipe for starters and the once bartender now nationally recognized entrepreneur and Bloody Mary Legend said, “if you have an idea, give it life.” Demitri told us if you ever catch yourself saying “They should do this” he said “you” are the “they” . If you have an idea make a note and look into it peice by peice. Little steps, keep coming back and be positive. He also shared that he wrote

letters to some very famous business people including the iconic beauty mogul ,Paul Mitchell and he asked if he could take them to lunch. Surprisingly other entrepreneurs were very supportive.

To date Demitri manufactures 20 product lines nationwide and has expanded the brand into rim salts and the highly popular Demitri’s Margarita Mix where he has partnered with baseball legend Edgar Martinez El Zacatecano as well as pairing his Bloody Mary mix with Absolut Vodka.
