Dioxins and Exposure Risks Discussed in New Video

PHOENIX - June 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Today, the IAQ Video Network and Cochrane & Associates announced the release of their latest educational video.  Their newest production discusses dioxins and human exposure risks.

Dioxins refer to a group of toxic chemical compounds that share certain chemical structures and characteristics.  Dioxins can be released into the environment through forest fires, backyard burning of trash, certain industrial activities and residue from past commercial burning of waste.

“Dioxins break down slowly and even past releases of dioxins from both man-made and natural sources persist in the environment,”said Paul Cochrane, President of Cochrane and Associates, the company behind the IAQ Video Network.  “Dioxin exposure can occur through the diet, from breathing air containing trace amounts of dioxins and from inadvertent ingestion of soil containing the compounds.
