-- Hazel Blue Studios in Atwater Village is proud to once again host a fundraiser for James Fox’ amazing organization Prison Yoga Project. This celebration of movement will take place June 21st 6:00pm-8:00pm on the Summer Solstice the longest day of the year to commemorate the transitions and changes that can happen both in life and the seasons. Hazel Blue Studios is located at 3058 1/2 Glendale Boulevard, 90039.
Co-Owners of Hazel Blue Studios Thea Pueschel and Kyle McGough along with guest teacher Kimberly Fujitaki will lead Sun Salutations with variations and modifications. Allegra and Adriana Franco will offer mini-Reiki sessions. A silent auction for jewelry, Yoga class passes, and private sessions (Hypnosis, Yoga, and Reiki) will also take place. Our event will be healthy, fun and all proceeds will go to a great cause! To bring mindfulness into prisons via the prison Yoga Project.
Help bring access and accountability to those in prison through supporting the Prison Yoga Project. Yoga can and does heal. Of the 67.8% of the 404,638 state prisoners released in 2005 in 30 states were arrested within 3 years of release, and 76.6% were arrested within 5 years of release. Mindfulness training and yoga can help diminish the level of recidivism. Be a part of that change by joining us Saturday June 21st 6:00pm-8:00pm. 100% of all proceeds raised will be dontated. Ticket prices are $30 online and $35 at the door. To secure your space visit http://hazelbluestudios.com/prison-yoga-project-fundraise...
