BEAUMONT, Calif. - June 13, 2014 - PRLog -- A Kölsch is very subtle, delicate and light in both body and appearance. The taste is delicate and refreshing, less bitter than a Pilsner, gently fruitier and a little sweeter. The result is a refreshing cool beer ideal for summer afternoons or perhaps with white fish.

According to NP Chief Brewer James Johnson, “We are excited about the Kölsch because it is satisfying the demand for lighter beers without the watered down taste of most light beers. Meticulous brewing techniques are paramount for the success of the brew. There is simply nothing “strong” in a Kölsch to cover up any mistakes or sloppiness in the brewing process."

“Kölsch is something of a custom when drinking in Cologne Germany, it is assumed that you will be drinking only Kölsch. The Köbes, clad in blue shirt, dark trousers and apron, patrol the Biergarten bringing Kölsch to the waiting customers in a circular tray (Kölschkranz) with holes for the glasses,” says William Soady (Managing Partner NP Brewery).
