PRLog -- ComSonics Inc. is proud to announce their success with their new Digital Dual Frequency (DDF) leakage detection products. These new products are able to detect leakage in either analog or digital channel line ups and have the ability to monitor frequencies in both the VHF and UHF bands. After several years of trials and extensive physical and environmental lab testing, these products are now being aggressively deployed across the US. One major MSO has chosen ComSonics to be their exclusive leakage detection equipment supplier, while another MSO is rapidly deploying the equipment.
There are several reasons behind these aggressive deployments:
(1) the additional UHF leakage detection capability allows operators to mitigate potential LTE interference issues, and (2) a proactive approach to leakage management is reducing noise levels within their networks. These actions will go a long ways to improving their network performance and increasing their readiness for the impending DOCSIS 3.1 deployments.
The DDF leakage detection solution from ComSonics uses a patented methodology to detect the presence of leakage in ether analog or digital channels. Patent No. 8,749,248 entitled “Shielding Flaw Detection and Measurement in Quadrature Amplitude Modulated Cable Telecommunications Environment”
has recently been granted on June 20, 2014.
