WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - June 12, 2014 - PRLog -- A newly launched website concentrated on downtown West Palm Beach real estate, history and events is making a big splash with locals. LiveWPB.com, a website created by realtors Tim Frater and Jud Whitehorn of Logan Realty, Inc., has made great strides by offering visitors a true taste of downtown West Palm Beach. Visitors will find articles on local eateries and watering holes, rare downtown history, upcoming events and real estate trends.

In addition to providing a great resource of downtown West Palm Beach condo sales and rentals Frater and Whitehorn wanted to create a real estate website with a more local twist. “Jud and I work and play downtown and keep a close eye on the events and happenings that create a buzz in this colorful part of the city” says Frater. “As our office is located on historic Clematis Street we can provide a great local’s perspective on things that affect the pulse of downtown.”

A good example of a popular historical blog on the site is titled “Fisticuffs in Downtown WPB,” an article written by Whitehorn that covers the old boxing arena right in the center of downtown. According to Whitehorn, one of the greatest stories to come out of the arena was about boxer Philip Dillon O’Connell. On O’Connell’s 60th fight he got his jaw broken, finished the fight, then went to Good Samaritan Hospital to get his jaw wired shut. O’Connell would then quit his boxing career, attend law school at the University of Florida and become Palm Beach County’s state attorney from 1935 to 1961. Whitehorn mentions that he likes to dig deep for stories that are not typically covered to give locals a sense of the changes that have affected their town.

Currently the website is growing in readership and visits every month and the realtors are enjoying the referral traffic from the exciting blogs. These visitors eventually make it to the main site to look at local properties and complete the cycle originally intended. The WPB Downtown Development Authority and the Visitor Information Center often share the site’s content on their social media channels and are supporters of the valuable historical and local perspectives Frater and Whitehorn provide.
