ConnectRoot Expands Client Base through New Corporate “Connections”

June 11, 2014 - PRLog -- In the past few months successful new business introductions have been made through ConnectRoot, announced Kelly Newsome, president of the New Jersey-based networking source and assessment firm.

ConnectRoot’s new clients include UniteUS, a free platform designed to link current and former military service members and their families with impactful resources and opportunities in their local communities. UniteUS is now enjoying a mutually beneficial relationship with the private wealth management division of a major New York bank.

"Kelly is a prime example of talking the talk and walking the walk,” said Taylor Justice, co-founder at UniteUS.com. “She met me at NY Tech Meet Up where I was presenting an overview on my company. Kelly sought me out, and wanted to help anyway she could. Subsequently, she made an introduction for Unite US which turned into two new business clients. I'm very grateful for her generosity and the idea behind ConnectRoot. Kelly and ConnectRoot truly are a conduit for strategic connections."

The bank executive involved said of Newsome: “Kelly was born to connect. With experience in all facets of investment management, she knows best practices and best-of-breed providers. She is the right person to have on your side.”

A fruitful relationship also was forged between ConnectRoot’s Resource Partner HedgeACT/Clear Vest and a global producer of investment management conferences. ClearVest is a technology-driven investment platform that offers access to a diversified offering of well-known, established, as well as emerging, alternative asset managers. HedgeACT is a cutting-edge technology company that enables sponsor firms to efficiently create their own robust alternative asset platform offerings.

“Forming our partnership with ConnectRoot is one of the best things our company has done,” said Chad Meyer, managing director, ClearVest. “Kelly Newsome has a breadth of experience in the financial services industry and is therefore able to intuitively identify our business needs, and reach out to her wide network. She has made several extremely valuable introductions for us that we would have never been able to do on our own.”

ConnectRoot “connected” Meridian-IQ, a large database of Registered Investment Advisors, Registered Reps, Broker/Dealers, Trust Companies, and Insurance Agents to two different financial services companies. One is a large Midwest-based custodian for family offices, investment sponsors, advisors, and individuals; the other, a New York-based investment management firm. Meridian-IQ is an original member of ConnectRoot’s Resource Partner Directory.

In addition, Newsome helped forge a relationship between a fee-only financial planning firm in Princeton, NJ, with ConnectRoot’s Resource Partner Jennifer Gardella, owner of Your Social Media Hour. “I met the planner at a recent NAPFA event in Princeton,” said Newsome, “and explained to him the genesis and purpose of ConnectRoot. He was thrilled to discover a company such as mine, one well connected within the financial services industry and able to find the right resources to solve his immediate, and pressing, needs. The answer in this case was Your Social Media Hour, which offers personalized consulting and speaking services.”

“I’m pleased that an increasing number of firms and professionals in the financial services industry is relying on me and ConnectRoot’s growing directory of experts, who offer strategic—and often unique—problem solving solutions,” said Newsome.

ConnectRoot launched in October 2013 to make qualified referrals and manage relationships based on client outsourcing needs throughout the financial services industry. Newsome welcomes clients to contact her directly for one-on-one consulting services.
