NEW YORK - June 9, 2014 - PRLog -- Humanitas Media Publishing will begin today its official release of the poem, "The Lost Daughter," to benefit the empowerment of women and girls internationally, especially those subjected to crisis and conflict in the developing world.

Humanitas Media agreed to publish the poem, inspired by the Boko Haram kidnappings, child marriage, honor killings, and other incidents in which girls and women have been subjected to gender-based violence or unequal treatment under law, to further discussion about the role of gender in international crisis and conflict.

The poem, by an anonymous poet published internationally, will be sold at first via the Humanitas Media website (http://www.humanitasmedia.com) and iPad application via MagCloud, soon to be expaded to Kindle, iBook, and other platforms.

100% of proceeds go toward illuminating issues of conflict and crisis worldwide, 90% of those proceeds going toward women's NGO's that address gender violence and legal issues, the recipient to be voted upon each month by readers going to the Humanitas Media Publishing website.
