DAYTON, Ohio - June 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Renowned veterinarian, Michael Fleck, will present two seminars on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Pet Quest in Wilmington, OH.  Dr. Fleck will join pet professionals from throughout the United States to share his veterinary expertise and pioneering approach to pet skin, coat and ear problems with those you entrust to keep your pets healthy and looking their very best.

According to Dr. Fleck, “Continuing one’s education is a must in any profession. This is especially true in a career that does not have universal standards---like the unlicensed, grooming profession. My goal at PetQuest is to educate grooming professionals and others about quality products; proper techniques; and, up to the minute, veterinary news that can assist them in maintaining and in providing positive pet health and safety for all pets left in their charge.”

On Sunday morning, June 15, 2014, from 9-10AM/EST, Dr. Fleck will be presenting a program entitled How Zoonotic and Epizoonotic Diseases Can Affect the Grooming Salon. Dr. Fleck will be focusing on zoonotic disease (inter-transmissible diseases between humans and animals) and what grooming salons, kennels and retailers can do to protect pets, clients, and staff from potentially devastating health hazards.

From 11-12PM/EST, Dr. Fleck will be speaking on Selecting Grooming Products by Label Reading and Understanding Ingredients. Fleck will discuss composition, commonly used ingredients, ingredient and functional claims, health risks and specialized shampoos.  Additionally, basic understanding of label reading leads to guidelines for establishing grooming product selection and expected performance.
