Home Living Accessibility Made Easy and Affordable Fashionable and functional designs enhance homes and reduce hazards

TORONTO - June 5, 2014 - PRLog -- TORONTO, June 5, 2014 - Some type of a disability will touch one in two people in their lifetime. Renovations or adaptations for accessibility are increasingly becoming common home and commercial safety solutions.

The province is aging faster than ever before. There are over 1.9 million Ontarians aged 65 years and older, representing  about 15 percent of the province's overall population. As more boomers become senior citizens, this demographic imperative will continue well into the future.

The ReliAble Living Centre, located in the heart of downtown Toronto includes everything needed to enhance residential or commercial buildings and make them barrier free. It also houses a training facility to educate building trades people, health care professionals and the public about accessibility, standards and more.

Please join The Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, on Wednesday June 11 at 10:45 a.m. for the Grand Opening of the ReliAble Living Centre.

Upon his appointment as Lieutenant Governor, The Honourable David Onley indicated that the overarching theme of his mandate would be accessibility, stating that "accessibility is that which enables people to achieve their full potential". His Honour has championed disability issues for many years, having served as chair of the Accessibility Standards Advisory Council of the Government of Ontario and as an accessibility council member for the Rogers Centre and the Air Canada Centre.

Paul Rosen, Gold Medal Paralympic Athelete will also share his story of courage and determination on overcoming adversity.

The ReliAble Living Centre features beautifully designed, decorated and fully appointed rooms and spaces suited to a variety of abilities and needs. You will be inspired by our stylish and functional room displays and the many innovations that improve quality of life for all.
