Ezell’s Famous Chicken President Mr. Lewis Rudd expects the picnic to have a great turnout. “We have had countless employees and supporters over the years; we just want to honor & thank them for a job well done”, says Rudd. The company who launched its first store on February 3rd, 1984 across from Garfield High School has a total of 9 stores currently, spanning the cities of: Seattle, Renton, Kent, Mill Creek, Woodinville, and Tacoma.
Rudd and the family contributes their success to their opening mission statement: “Provide FRESH high-quality chicken and GOOD homemade side dishes, served with FAST courteous service.” Thirty years later customers continue to come back for the chicken that was also once eaten by celebrity Oprah Winfrey when she visited Seattle.
In celebration, a selection of assorted chicken & side dishes will be served at the Family Reunion Picnic. The picnic which is also open to the public will offer games, family fun, and other entertainment throughout the day.
