GREATER MANCHESTER, U.K. - June 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Crowd funding is a recent internet phenomena whereby projects are funded by many people contributing small amounts for altruistic reasons or in return for perks and benefits such as tickets, sponsorship benefits or publicity.

Born in Salford UK,  Steve Foley, former musician, songwriter, recording studio owner, record producer, and radio station boss has launched a CrowdFunding campaign via Indiegogo to create a series of Bootleg Festivals to celebrate musical legends. There are many major annual festivals, which prove too expensive for many people Bootleg Festival celebrates many musical heroes who are no longer around or artistes who have changed the music scene forever.

The former radio station boss wants to launch four Bootleg Festivals around the UK near major cities, London, Manchester, Birmingham and Newcastle, giving music lovers the opportunity to attend a spectacular festival without the high prices that are normally associated with UK festivals.

The Bootleg Festivals gives a platform for young musicians to pay tribute to their heroes and get noticed on a stage in front of a large crowd of music lovers. The festival is not only a chance for young musicians to get noticed by new fans, media and people within the music industry, it is also a chance for music lovers to have the time of their lives listening to ‘live’ music at affordable prices.

Steve Foley, 67, has given his life to music and now the former musician who is a carer for his terminally-ill wife, Amy, wants to have one last ‘swan-song’ project to leave a musical legacy for next generation musicians in all musical genres.

The Indiegogo CrowdFunding campaign  https://www.indiegogo.com/at/bootlegfestivals  will help pay for stage hire, lighting, toilet hire, marque hire, security, children’s circus workshop, public relations and marketing. It will also help pay for people to man the event and ensure the safety of all festival goers.

The Bootleg Festivals has been described as a spectacular one-day and weekend events where families can come together and listen to ‘live’ music and celebrate together some of the best musicians of our time. All money made from the festival will be ploughed into forthcoming festivals with the mission to give families and all music-lovers affordable festivals for years to come.

The organiser of the Bootleg Festival is also looking for sponsors who would like to help make the event a success.
