Essentia Water Announces Addition of Sales/Marketing Team in New England, New York and Southwest

LAS VEGAS - June 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Essentia® Water (http://www.essentiawater.com/), the first bottled functional water brand offered in the United States, announces the hire of three regional sales managers, including Jessica Johnson in New England, Craig Miller in the Southwest and Andrew Sorkin in the New York market. Tyler Bradbury also joins the Essentia team as a regional marketing manager for the Northeast. These newly created positions have been added to support the brand’s accelerated growth into mainstream retail channels and new distributors, such as Polar Beverages in New England, prodded by the consumer embrace of the benefits of functional water.

“We recognize that the best possible way to facilitate rapid expansion for our brand is with a seasoned in-market sales and marketing team that understands the unique regional and chain-specific needs of existing and potential retail customers,” says Ken Uptain, Essentia’s founder and CEO. “With the addition of these positions, we are able to create, manage and support programs aimed at growing Essentia’s brand awareness and sales across a broad range of channels. We are also now able to participate in more grassroots events to help drive consumer trial and purchases.”

Jessica “Jess” Johnson has more than a decade of sales and marketing experience with strong relationships in the New England market. Most recently she served as regional sales manager, New England, for ACTIVATE Drinks, where she managed the distribution network, including brand sales and marketing efforts throughout all channels of trade in New England from supermarkets to major corporate accounts. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in communication from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, N.H., which contributes to her success in creating and implementing marketing-driven programs and strategies that help increase brand awareness and promotional activity at retail.

Craig Miller is a seasoned sales veteran with a 20-year history in the consumer packaged goods industry. Prior to joining Essentia he was area sales manager, retail sales for San Mateo, Calif.-based The FRS Company where he managed business across all trades, including grocery, chain drug, military and natural channels. Miller has developed and managed successful retail programs resulting in double- and triple-digit sales increases for leading beverage providers, including Snapple Beverage Group (formerly Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages) at which he served for a decade as regional sales manager.  During this tenure he successfully implemented a Costco “Road Show,” helped guide the Yoo-hoo brand turnaround and facilitated the successful introduction of Nantucket Nectars. Miller has an Associate degree in Business Management from Scottsdale Community College.

Andrew Sorkin brings to Essentia more than two decades of experience as a top beverage industry sales manager with strong connections in the Mid-Atlantic region. Most recently he served as regional sales manager for Pepsi Bottling Ventures, for which he developed and implemented award-winning distributor programs aimed at boosting brand awareness and sales, including a triple-digit volume growth boost for Lipton Pure Leaf. Sorkin’s resume also includes nearly a decade of experience as metro New York sales manager for the Snapple Beverage Group and Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages. A longtime New Yorker, Sorkin has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Tyler Bradbury has a track record of success in the New England market. He has been involved with field marketing initiatives including market research, brand ambassador and social media program development, and special events for beverage brands including Powerade, FUZE and Red Bull. Most recently Bradbury was the New England regional marketing manager for popchips, an award-winning snack brand, where he was responsible for creation and execution of the entire marketing business plan for the New England region.  His wins include initiating local relationships that were key to the brand gaining market share and that resulted in 87 percent sales growth in the region.  Bradbury has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire in Durham.
