May 30, 2014 - PRLog -- Hillsboro, OR Wednesday June 4th starting at 630pm  Jacobsen’s Books teams up with Manaia Coffee House and Grill to present 4 great Young Adult Authors.  Miriam Forster, Cat Winters, Paula Stokes and Tara Kelly will be presenting their books and available for your questions!  Books, desserts and beverages will be available for purchase.

Miriam Forster learned to read at the age of five, wrote her first story at the age of seven and has been playing with words ever since. Her debut novel CITY OF A THOUSAND DOLLS is available wherever books are sold and the companion novel EMPIRE OF SHADOWS is due to be released in Fall 2014.

Cat Winters’s critically acclaimed debut novel, In the Shadow of Blackbirds, was named a 2014 Morris Award Finalist, a 2014 Best Fiction for Young Adults pick, a 2013 Bram Stoker Award Nominee, and a School Library Journal Best Book of 2013. Her upcoming novels include The Cure for Dreaming (Amulet Books/Oct. 2014) and The Uninvited (William Morrow/2015), and she’s a contributor to the 2015 YA horror anthology Slasher Girls & Monster Boys. She lives in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Paula Stokes is half writer, half RN, and totally thrilled to be part of the world of YA literature. She grew up in St. Louis, MO where she graduated from Washington University and the Goldfarb School of Nursing. Now she lives in Portland and couldn’t be happier. When Paula isn’t working, she’s kayaking, hiking, reading, or seeking out new adventures in faraway lands. Paula loves interacting with readers.

Tara Kelly adores variety in life. She’s an author, editor, one-girl-band, photographer/designer, and she’s back in school getting her M.Ed in School Counseling. She lives in Oregon with her ten guitars, sound design master bf, and a fluffy, orange cat named Maestro.

Join us to meet these great authors, hear about their work and answer your questions about writing!
