Follow on Google News | ![]() Mt. Sac Professor Earns Lifesaving Certificate for International Lifesaving TripsProfessor Max Lizarraga of Industrial Design Engineering at Mt. San Antonio College successfully completed the First Aid, CPR AED and Lifesaving certificate.
“As a lifeguard in my teenage years and early twenties, I’ve found that you never lose the desire to protect and help others,” said Professor Max Lizarraga. It’s be 37 years since I last held a lifeguard certificate but I decided to brush up in anticipation of joining my daughter Raquel on lifesaving trips led by a non-profit organization called ISLA.” The International Surf Lifesaving Association (ISLA) exists to advance professional lifesaving development to areas in need around the globe. Swimming classes at MSAC include mommy and me, teens to adult swimming, summer learn to swim programs and intro to competitive swimming. These classes are available through Community Ed. ABOUT MT.
