About the Author: Violet Apted’s mother used to say she was born with a pen in her hand. She grew up during World War II in Ashford Kent, UK. Then it was a quaint little market town steeped in history. Now it is the main train link to France by the Channel Tunnel. A retired teacher, the author lives in Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia. This is her fifth book.
