Living Advantage, Inc. Receives Grant from Employees Community Fund of Boeing California

LOS ANGELES - May 29, 2014 - PRLog -- Living Advantage, Inc. is honored to be the recipient of a grant contribution from the Employees Community Fund of Boeing California. This generous $5,000 grant will benefit Living Advantage’s “Supporting Foster Youth in Transition to Adulthood” (SFYTA) Program.

The Employees Community Fund (ECF) of Boeing California is a nonprofit organization that is employee-owned and run. Either through payroll deductions or one-time gifts, Boeing employees are able to contribute to ECF. This creates a unique opportunity for Boeing employees to support charitable organizations in their local communities. With the EFC’s nearly $2.5 million in employee contributions, Boeing California has been able to aid over 350 non-profit organizations, like Living Advantage, Inc. We are honored to be able to partner with Boeing California through this fund.

With this grant, Living Advantage, Inc. will be able to enhance our SFYTA Program, which helps foster youth as they age out of the foster system. In this program we are able to assess the needs of our foster youth and provide them with academic support and case management. This grant will specifically allow us to host more Life Skills workshops for our youth on topics including health, higher education and job preparedness which will ultimately prepare our youth for independent living.
