Swimming Pool Company Pool Doctor Kicks Off Summer Season with Charity Event

May 28, 2014 - PRLog -- East Northport, NY - On May 17th, swimming pool design and installation company Pool Doctor of East Northport, NY held their annual Summer Kickoff event. This year, the 40-year-old pool company donated proceeds from the day's events to the NYC Long Island chapter. Using sales from a hot dog stand and raffle baskets, Pool Doctor was able to donate several hundred dollars to the charity.

Pool Doctor marketing manager Christi Rocco was pleased with the results, saying, "Pool Doctor has been a part of the community for 40 years now. We are always looking for ways to give back and we were connected with Pets for Vets a few months ago. The money that we raised today will go towards training a former shelter animal that will then be placed with a military veteran. We're looking forward to working with Pets for Vets again in the future."

Pets for Vets NYC Long Island chapter director Tanya Liard agrees, saying, "We love getting to know the local small business owners and are honored that Pool Doctor chose to make us the beneficiary of their summer kickoff event. We appreciate the support of the community and cannot wait until the next event."
