Ukrainian-American Actor to Make His LA Debut

May 28, 2014 - PRLog -- A year ago, very few in Hollywood knew the name, Yan Tkach. But this has all changed ever since Yan moved to town. In the four months that Yan Tkach has been in town he has met with agents all around town, had great feedback from casting directors, and most recently joined the New American Theatre Company.

"Joining the New American Theatre was a blessing, it gave me the family that I wanted to have in LA, and set the foundation for what aim for in professionalism and creativity." Yan expressed in a recent interview.

Directors and fellow actors are starting to take notice--Saturn Award Nominated Director Charles Evered said "Yan is a dedicated young actor, and I would not hesitate hiring him once the right part comes along."Veteran Actor Larry Cedar was noted saying "  A very, very good actor. His work is committed, centered, and true."

Yan a native of Ukraine immigrated to the United States at the age of two and settled in San Francisco. He took his undergraduate degree in theatre from the University of California, Riverside where he won numerous awards for his acting and was accepted to the prestigious A.R.T MXAT Harvard Institute Summer School Program. Where he studied with acclaimed Russian director Adolf Shapiro and played the role of Medvedenko in the Seagull.

The New American Theatre Studio Ensemble Showcase night will run for two nights, Thursday, May 29th, 8:30 pm and Thursday, June 5th, 7:00 pm at the VS Theatre 5453 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90019. Industry attending will be comped, please RSVP--
