Sheryl Natelson Elected Chairperson of the Planning and Zoning Board of the City of Hallandale Bea

HALLANDALE, Fla. - May 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Sheryl Natelson, Attorney at Lydecker Diaz, was recently elected to chairperson of the Planning and Zoning Board of the City of Hallandale Beach. Natelson has been a member of the Planning and Zoning Board of the City of Hallandale Beach since 2001, helping shape the city’s transformation during the last and current real estate cycles. She will advise the City Commission in matters related to changing or amending the City's zoning and land development code and the City's comprehensive plan. The Board also makes recommendations regarding land use plan amendments, rezoning, applications for conditional uses and variances and development review approvals for major development. Developers like Miami-based Related Group have targeted Hallandale Beach to build luxury condominiums in recent times.

Natelson focuses her practice on complex business litigation and business tort matters, intellectual property matters, condominium and homeowner’s association law and bankruptcy law. Lydecker Diaz is a commercial law firm headquartered in Miami that services clients throughout Florida.

She earned her bachelor’s degree at Brandeis University and her juris doctorate at the University of Miami. Natelson is a member of the Florida Bar, the American Bar Association and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Additionally, she was Executive Chair of Leadership Development and held other leadership positions on the board of the Young Leadership Council, Greater Miami Jewish Federation. Ms. Natelson is also registered with FEMA as a member of the Certified Emergency Response Team (“CERT”), for the Hallandale Beach Fire Department.
