Atlanta's R&B Divas Don't Hold Back On The Music

ATLANTA - May 27, 2014 - PRLog -- As reality television has become a platform that showcases area hot spots and businesses, it is no far stretch that they began to incorporate area talent as well. Independent artist Da Public's Eye and Floyd Grant took an opportunity that most independent artist have a dream of accomplishing and made it a reality. The duo was featured on one of the most socially engaged and highest rated television shows at this time, Atlanta's R&B Divas Season 3 Episode 4.  The two were shown during the performance of their new hit single Don't Hold Back.

Appearing on a highly rated reality television show and a network as well respected as TV One is a major accomplishment for a mainstream artist, but for an independent artist it is a goal many work for years to accomplish.  Although, Da Public's Eye and Floyd Grant have created music for several years independently, it has been less than a year since they have been collaborating and performing together.  Ironically, the song that was performed on the show entitled Don't Hold Back, is a message that is directly reflective of how both Da Public's Eye and Floyd Grant view their craft. "As artist we are often given a box and expected to stay in it, if we want to obtain mainstream success. However, my grind and limitless potential knows no boundaries. My music is the same way, it's like water; it flows while filling in gaps and breaks down barriers designed to keep me confined." states Da Public's Eye when asked about being placed in a box as an artist.

Da Public's Eye and Floyd Grant are two uniquely different artist, with a keen ability to deliver music that showcases the vocal and lyrical depth. The pair are solo artist in their own right, but frequently collaborate as their mix of urban and edgy soul content consistently resonate with listeners.  Having met via mutual friend, Lenora Jaye as she prepared to relocate from the Atlanta area to Miami; Da Public's Eye and Floyd Grant have taken that timely introduction and created a long running series of music that places them in an arena all their own. Currently in the studio working on finalizing songs they have together and independently Da Public's Eye and Floyd Grant have plans to create a face for the new independent artist, one where the artist define their opportunities vs the opportunities defining the artist.

It used to be extremely difficult for new artists to get placements on TV/film.
