Montessori Ivy League Academy Helps Children Develop Practical Life Skills
Montessori Ivy League Academy uses the famed Montessori Method to help children in Pembroke Pines develop practical life skills and independence.
Younger children taking part in what is known as the Practical Life model take part in activities that pertain to daily living tasks. These include eating, dressing, and cleaning. The child care programs at Montessori Ivy League Academy include individual work time where children choose their own work. The Montessori instructors provide them with the necessary materials and tools to complete certain jobs, and children gain an immense sense of satisfaction while learning and completing tasks they have chosen for themselves.
At Montessori Ivy League Academy, working is fun. Children are encouraged to learn concepts through work and discovery, as opposed to doing exactly what their teachers tell them to do. Teaching children how to learn for themselves is an important part of helping them develop practical life skills that will take them far in this world.
