CALIFORNIA CITY, Calif. - May 23, 2014 - PRLog -- Tyree Landrum, a 6-7 wing from Whittier College, has joined the Orange County Ramblers for the NABL Summer Showcase in California City this June and July. Landrum wwill be competing for a career in professional basketball, hoping for a berth with a FIBA international team.

Each Friday night in June and July in California City, the Orange County Ramblers, California City Dust Devils, San Diego Neptunes, and Seattle Baakers will compete in NABL doublheaders. All games will be televised by the TVS Television Network, who have televised thousands of college, pro, and NABL basketball games since 1960.

The winning team will travel to Honolulu in August to face the fifth member of the NABL Western Division, the Hawaii Chiefs, in a five game series. The NABL has sent more than 50 players- mostly from small NCAA D1, D2, D3, and NAIA schools, to pro basketball careers overseas.

Other players in the series include Ray Cody (6-5 Cal St Northridge), Mike Williams (6-1 Cal St Fullerton), and Charles Cole (6-7 Lincoln U (MO). Each team will have eight players competing for FIBA jobs.

California City was selected as the site of the NABL Summer Showcase because it is half way between Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Players interested in playing can visit www.tvsevents.com for enrollment information.
