American Musicians Radio dedicated to local, independent and original music around the world

Utah based online radio company dedicated to independent musicians around the world, changing how you find, listen and support local music from your own hometown, state or country.

SALT LAKE CITY - May 22, 2014 - PRLog -- “Think Pandora, Facebook, iTunes and Reverbnation all wrapped up into one website” announced today by John Farmer, President and Founder of American Musicians Radio. "We are dedicated to supporting the unsigned, local, indepedent and ORIGINAL music from all around the world on our online radio station and website."

John Farmer, goes on to say “We believe every musician deserves to be heard”  continuing,  “ More music today is being marketed by independent musicians, I have been noticing the change for years and so we took action in 2009 to help support those musicians to get their sound out to the masses, we want to be the platform for all independent musicians to launch their careers.”

Just like Justin Beiber was discovered on Youtube, American Musicians Radio goal is to help bands get discovered through their website.

John says "Since we've switched over to the new website, we are receiving new music everyday from all over the world. Amazingly enough, Australia is the 2nd largest contributor of independent music on our website.
Utah has had such an impact on the national music scene with bands like Royal Bliss, Neon Trees, The Used, Imagine Dragons etc...it's about time people start taking notice of our state, we want to bring the world to Utah and Utah to the world."

Continuing  "Music is moving back to a more regional level, people are tired of hearing the same music 15 times a day on standard radio, you'll never find just one genre on someone's iPod, AMR gives the listener the ability to choose what songs they want to listen too and take it wherever they go. People want more variety and something new to listen to.  AMR gives the public that choice and the opportunity to support the local music scene in the process.”

The website consists of many functions that today’s major social media sites have, a radio station strictly dedicated to independent musicians that play  original music. A social networking site for the bands, fans and friends to communicate with one another. A charting system for the bands to see where they rank within their state and nationally. A place where they can sell their music, place their videos, create events, contact their fans and create electronic press kits for venue owners to see them to book shows.

The website helps independent musicians from the local level get the recognition they deserve for their efforts while building new fans around the world.

John said “The great part about our website is, You can choose the style of music you like, you’re not confined to listening to one state or country,  you can choose what and where you want to listen too."

One of the benefits for touring musicians is if  they want to hook up with a band in another state, they can go to the website and find a band that sounds similar and connect with them.

AMR has big plans for the future, one of them is hooking up with Bruce Kirby of BoHo Digitalia and Mateo Coletti are both amazing sound engineers that have worked with some incredible local and national acts.

Since the wave of the future is in internet, more and more broadcasting companies are moving to the internet. John replies “Just look at the explosion of Netflix and IheartRadio in the past 2 years. Everything is moving towards the internet, more people listen to online radio than standard or “Traditional” radio anymore."

AMR’s website gives everyone the opportunity to communicate through other social networking sites (ie. Twitter, Facebook Google+ etc..) to share their favorite music or video.

Go to AMR.fm and you will have the ability to sign up as a Musician, a Fan and soon as a Business.

American Musicians Radio is the new music rEvolution for independent musicians and the future of music as we know it.
