Broadway Star to Light Up National Conference on Race and Ethnicity (NCORE)

INDIANAPOLIS - May 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Charles Holt, star of The Lion King, Smokey Joe’s Café, and Jesus Christ Superstar will be speaking at NCORE, with sessions on May 29-30, in Indianapolis, IN at the JW Marriott Hotel. Charles will be presenting on the topic of Relationships: healing, self-discovery, forgiveness and success.

“If we believe that the old adage stating, ‘we are products of our environment’ somehow gives direction to our path in life, then our core relationships (those that are established during the first few years of one’s life) may indeed hold the golden keys to reaching our greatest potential and highest success,” Holt says.

Coming from humble roots, Charles has the ability to views these topics from all angles; on the dramatic front, he has reenacted the lives of social and civil rights icons to sold-out audiences including the John F. Kennedy Center. A dynamic inspirational speaker, this will be his fifth year presenting at NCORE, and he has addressed many other groups and organizations including TEDx, Facing History and Ourselves, and Engaged Diversity Leadership Conference.

Today, Holt continues to pursue his vision of creating community through his annual tour of universities, spiritual centers, and correctional facilities. In his new book, Between Me and Dad: A Journey through Forgiveness to Freedom (released April 1, 2014), Charles Holt captivates us with tender stories that underline the gift of relationship and its inevitable influence on life, and the way we live it. Through personal accounts of his father as a young man growing up in the South, and some of the most difficult times in his own life, Charles Holt sets the stage for a showdown with self-realization.

Between Me and Dad was the debut book release from Charles Holt Productions. Charles’ first book, Intuitive Rebel was published by Agape Media International through a distribution deal with Hay House.
