-- Maui's Kendama playing enthusiasts were gathered at Queen Kaahumanu Center Stage to compete and also to raise money for the Friends of the Children’s Justice Center. With Kendamas being the the hotest craze in Hawaii, a whopping194 entrees participated. The host of the event, Kaleidoscope of Maui was able to raise $582.00 to benefit the Friends of the Children's JusticeCenter of Maui. The money raised will be used to reach out to the childrenof abuse and neglect in Maui County.
Kaleidoscope brings the Kendama USA pro players to Maui while helping to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect in our community and raising money for the great cause all in one event. The owner of Kaleidoscope, a generous and community minded individual stated, “It’s about the kids,” regarding the funds raised for the FCJC.

The Friends of the Children’s Justice Center of Maui is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1989 by a non-partisan group of community and business leaders, who were concerned with the social welfare of children who have suffered from abuse and neglect. The mission of the FCJC has three parts; to provide assistance to abused and neglected children in Maui County, promote the prevention of child abuse and neglect and finally to support the Children’s Justice Center of Maui.
